Over the summer, 2014, I was a part of a 5 member team that collaborated with NGO Vidya and Child, to make murals in a Municipal Corporation School in Dilshad Gardens, Delhi.
The unkempt barely furnished school in this crowded part of the city proved to be a difficult work space, in the peak of summer with often no electricity.
Working in four rooms, the murals consisted of educational material pulled out of text books and made fun through pictorial depictions!
We used Tailors chalk for drawing and water based acrylics for painting. Additionally we cut up tuns of waste plastic bottles and reused these as handy containers for all the paint mixing, and covering.
