Final Exhibition/Masters in Visual Art

My final exhibition for my master’s in visual art (May 2015) was spread across two adjacent rooms. In the first I put up two sets of graphic story panels and a set of photo collages. The work in this room focused around women’s narratives that inspire me in one way or another. The second had a set of lightboxes, and was a magical dark room (this is covered in a separate post tilted Illuminations). Here are images from the exhibition! : IMG_9001  IMG_9007 IMG_9009 Graphic stories on display : The Poet Irom, Metromorphosis IMG_9017   IMG_9030    IMG_9027                                                                                                                                                                    I created a standing accordion form for the graphic story Metromorphosis . This was then placed on a wooden extension with light falling from the top, giving all these angular shadows! Exploring ways to light the space selectively was a major part of curating my own work!
